Jewelry Repair Glue

Best type of glue for Jewelry Repair?
Specifically gluing a stone to silver. I was too rough cleaning it and the stone fell off. It was glued there by the person who made it so there is residue. What is the best type of glue to re-attach it? It is not expensive jewelry so I am not taking it anywhere to be repaired. Thanks
E6000, available at Michaels. Lightly buff off the glue residue, because glue to glue repairs don’t bond well.
